Layoffs Set to Begin at YORK Plant
Harley-Davidson is laying off workers at its Springettsbury Township facility next week beginning Monday.
Rebecca Bortner, a company spokeswoman, said Wednesday the temporary layoffs are in addition to Harley's planned shutdown from June 30 through July 3.
The number of layoffs for the week beginning Monday was not immediately known.
Renee Henry, a worker at the plant for eight years, said she and other employees were informed about the layoff last

Harley-Davidson Sells $1B in Bonds Amid Flagging Sales
Harley-Davidson Inc. on Wednesday said it has sold $1 billion in bonds, providing cash that one analyst suggested could help the struggling motorcycle maker weather a deteriorating market outlook.

Harley-Davidson Ups Its Dividend 10%
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson, Inc. said Saturday it was raising its quarterly dividend 10% to 33 cents a share.

Harley-Davidson to Cut Jobs, Ship Fewer Motorcycles
Harley-Davidson Inc. on Thursday said that it will cut motorcycle production and slash about 730 jobs as the sluggish U.S. economy slows demand for its iconic motorcycles.
The Milwaukee-based motorcycle manufacturer also reported that it expects full-year per-share earnings to drop as much as 20 percent.
